175 – у 1840 г. пачаў дзейнічаць у Менску тэатр заснаваны Вінцуком Дунін-Марцінкевічам.
175 – 21.03.1840 г. у фальварку Сьвіраны, Віленскага павету нарадзіўся Францішак Багушэвіч, беларускі паэт, празаік, публіцыст. Адзін з пачынальнікаў беларускага адраджэньня, аўтар двух паэтычных зборнікаў „Дудка беларуская” і „Смык беларускі”, кніжкі-апавяданьня „Тралялёначка”. Памёр 28.04.1900 г. у Кушлянах на Ашмяншчыне. Пахаваны ў Жупранах.
150 – 23.03.1865 г. у Валожыне, Ашмянскага павету нарадзіўся Стары Улас (Уладыслаў Сівы-Сівіцкі), паэт, празаік, зьбіральнік беларускага фальклёру. З 1907 г. друкаваўся ў „Нашай Ніве”, потым у заходнябеларускіх выданьнях. Памёр 30.09.1939 г. у Шашэльгішках на Віленшчыне Пахаваны на могілках у Сужанах.
140 – 17.03.1875 г. памёр Келясьцін Брэн (нар. у 1800 г. на Брэстчыне), краязнавец і збіральнік фальклёру. Вучыўся ў Жыровіцкай сэмінарыі, з 1831 г. быў сьвятаром у Кобрыне, з 1838 г. – у Старым Корніне. Аўтар працы „Мясцовае этнаграфічнае апісаньне Бельскага павета…” (1856).
120 – 19.03.1895 г. у Палянах на Ашмяншчыне нар. Тамаш Грыб, беларускі грамадзка-палітычны і культурны дзеяч. Быў адным з удзельнікаў абвяшчэньня Беларускай Народнай Рэспублікі і аўтараў устаўных граматаў БНР. Быў міністрам земляробства і ўнутраных спраў БНР, членам Беларускай Вайсковай Рады. Выдаваў газэту „Грамадзянін”. З 1920 г. у Коўне, з 1922 г. – у Празе Чэшскай, дзе закончыў філасофскі факультэт Карлавага унівэрсытэта (1928), актыўна дзейнічаў сярод беларускай эміграцыі, з 1930 г. працаваў у Славянскай бібліятэцы. Памёр 25.01.1938 г., пахаваны на пратэстанцкіх могілках у Празе.
120 – 23.03.1895 г. у Лугавой каля Капыля нар. Васіль Сташэўскі, драматург і празаік. Закончыў Несьвіжскую настаўніцкую сэмінарыю (1914) і Менскі настаўніцкі інстытут (1924). Працаваў настаўнікам у Оршы, з 1927 г. – адказным сакратаром літаратурнага аб’яднаньня „Маладняк”, з 1929 г. – аб’яднаньня „Полымя”. У 1928 – 1929 гг. працаваў у газэце „Савецкая Беларусь”. У 1937 г. рэпрэсіраваны і прыгавораны да вышэйшай меры пакараньня. Расстраляны 29.10.1937 г. Друкаваўся з 1923 г., першую п’есу „На другі дзень” апублікаваў у 1926 г.
105 – 5.03.1910 г. у Ціхінічах Рагачоўскага павету нарадзіўся Аўген Калубовіч (Каханоўскі – на эміграцыі) – гісторык, палітычны дзеяч. У 1930 г. арыштаваны й прыгавораны на 3 гады лагера асобага прызначэньня. У 1939 г. вярнуўся ў БССР, у 1941 г. трапіў у баях пад Масквой у нямецкі палон. Актыўна ўдзельнічаў у беларускім палітычным і культурным руху падчас нямецкай акупацыі, між іншым зьвязаны быў зь Беларускай Цэнтральнай Радай. З 1944 г. у Нямеччыне, з 1950 г. жыў у ЗША, вёў асабліва актыўную дзейнасьць у галіне дасьледаваньня гісторыі Беларусі ў XX ст. Памёр 25.05.1987 г. у Кліўлендзе.
97 – 25.03.1918 г. Рада Беларускай Народнай Рэспублікі ў 3-й Устаўнай Грамаце абвясьціла Беларусь вольнай і незалежнай дзяржавай.
90 – 23.03.1925 г. у в. Мора на Беласточчыне нарадзіўся Віктар Швед, паэт, актыўны дзеяч беларускага руху на Беласточчыне. Друкуецца з 1957 г. Дэбютаваў у „Ніве” вершам „Я беларус”. Аўтар многіх зборнікаў вершаў, сааўтар падручнікаў на беларускай мове. Жыве ў Беластоку. Віншуем Вас, спадар Віктар!
75 – 10.03.1940 г. нарадзіўся Аляксей Марачкін, жывапісец, актыўны дзеяч беларускага руху. Жыве ў Менску. Віншуем!
55 – 1.03.1960 г. у Барысаве памёр кс. Віктар Шутовіч (нар. 27.10.1890 г. у Шутавічах Ашмянскага пав.), змагар за беларусізацыю каталіцкага касьцёла на беларускіх землях, дзеяч беларускага хрысьціянскага руху. Служыў сьвятаром у Барадзенічах на Браслаўшчыне (1917-1927), дзе закладаў беларускія школы і гаварыў казаньні на беларускай мове. У 1927-1929 гг. быў вікарым у парафіі Тжцяннэ, у 1929-1932 – у ЗША, у 1932-1944 – у Харошчы, у 1944-1945 – пробашчам у Катэдральным саборы ў Менску. У сьнежні 1945 г. арыштаваны і сасланы ў лагер у Комі. У 1956 г. вярнуўся ў Беларусь, быў пробашчам у Барысаве.
40 – 8.03.1975 г. у Беластоку памёр кс. Антон Леош (нар. 10.11.1896 г. у Саколцы), прыхільнік беларусізацыі рымакаталіцкага касьцёла на беларускіх землях, член Беларускай Хрысьціянскай Дэмакрацыі, з 1945 г. – пробашч парафіі Беласток-Дайліды.
55 – 25.03.1960 г. у Пугачах Валожынскага раёна нар. Віктар Шніп, паэт. Закончыў Менскі архітэктурна-будаўнічы тэхнікум (1978) і Вышэйшыя літаратурныя курсы ў Маскве (1987). Першыя вершы апублікаваў у газэце „Чырвоная змена”. Зараз галоўны рэдактар „Мастацкай Літаратуры”. Віншуем з юбілеем!
30 – у сакавіку 1985 г. у Варшаве ўпершыню ў пасьляваеннай Польшчы, студэнты беларусы сарганізавалі падпольнае сьвяткаваньне ўгодкаў абвешчаньня незалежнасьці Беларускай Народнай Рэспублікі.
