Przygodę z Narwią kończymy nad Zalewem Zegrzyńskim, gdzie spragnieni kontaktu z naturą warszawiacy żeglują i wypoczywają w licznych ośrodkach letniskowych.
Książka łączy w sobie cechy przewodnika, zbioru opowieści o regionie i albumu fotograficznego, w którym autor uwiecznił nie tylko zabytki i odwiedzane miejscowości, ale również bogactwo flory i fauny narwiańskiej przyrody. Swoje opowieści autor okrasza mnóstwem ciekawostek historycznych i legend, nie pomijając jednocześnie wydarzeń współczesnych, które odciskają swój ślad na życiu mieszkańców i kształtują dzisiejsze oblicze narwiańskiej krainy. Ich przygoda z historią rozpoczęła się, gdy Władysław Litwińczuk przed wojną wyorał na własnym polu narzędzia neolitycznych kultur. Od tej pory przeistoczył się w archeologa-amatora i niezmordowanie wydobywa z suraskiej ziemi krzemienne groty strzał, kościane drapacze, czy toporki sprzed 4500 lat. Pasję po nim przejął syn, który zorganizował muzeum, w którym możemy zobaczyć zgromadzone zbiory, aczkolwiek nie będzie to łatwe, bowiem znalezisk jest tak dużo, że nawet pobieżne ich obejrzenie zajmuje kilka godzin. Pasja państwa Litwińczuków okazała się zaraźliwa. Suraska młodzież zrekonstruowała średniowieczną osadę, w której od kilkunastu lat odbywają się festyny archeologiczne „Grodzisko”. Ta niezwykła historia zainteresowała mnie na tyle, że odwiedzenie Suraża stało się potrzebą wręcz palącą. A takich historii w książce jest wiele, dlatego jej przeczytanie to jak zanurzenie się w odmętach Narwi – wciąga i uzależnia na tyle, że chce się tu powracać.
